Stewardship

Matthew 4:1-20

When we grow things in our garden, whether it be food or flowers, we cannot just throw some seeds out the door and expect them to grow a beautiful garden or a bountiful crop. We must first make a plan before we start to plant. We need to plan how much area we are going to use, what kind of soil it has, and what kind of crop you want to grow.

It is the same way when we begin to use our talents for God. We must first assess what talents God has given us, then we must give those talents back to God that He may use them through us to accomplish His plan. In this way our talents will be used to bring people to Him.

God likens the results of our using our talents for him to a harvest of crops. He says we produce thirty-fold, sixty-fold, or one hundred-fold. I don't know about you, but my goal is to produce one hundred fold for God in gratitude for all He has done for me.
